Uploading Facebook photos on Ubuntu
So, a few months ago, I told people how to install the Facebook Photo Uploader on Fedora 11. Well, you might have noticed my comment about it only being simple to install on Ubuntu... apparently this isn't the case!
Since libnfpbook version 1.0.2, it has actually been broken on Ubuntu. This forum post has more details... Why, Facebook, do you release a new uploader that is actually inherently broken on recent versions of Ubuntu?!
Is there a solution to fix this? Well, no - the uploader is closed source so we have to wait until Facebook fixes it. Workaround - install F-Spot and enable the Facebook plugin. This will allow you to upload your photo albums to Facebook with very little trouble.
